HUBTEAM Troupe agreement
This agreement clearly outlines the expectations of HUBTEAM students and parents. It is in place to secure the commitment and conduct for all involved. As Troupes are a team sport, it is critical that all team members are participating in a supportive and collective manner. This will ensure the outcome of each experience is a positive and successful one. Please read the following points and submit your agreement.
Pre-requisites:
All HUBTEAM Troupe students are required to attend the following classes weekly in order to accept their position:
HUBJNR/HUBTEEN: 2 x Ballet classes and 1 x Technique class.
HUBSNR: Any 3 technical based classes (technique, ballet, conditioning, pilates).
Attendance:
Regular class attendance is a necessity as each student is important to the progress of the team as a whole. A courtesy email, phone call or text message to HUBPAC is expected for all absences in Troupe classes. Positions will be jeopardised if students are noted to have missed a significant number of classes without formal explanation.
Commitment:
Troupe students are committed to the HUBTEAM for a full year eg. July 2022 – July 2023. The new season begins every year in July commencing in Term 3. It is expected that all dancers perform at every competition and event in which HUBPAC is entered for Troupes. When committing to the HUBTEAM, dancers are required to prioritise all competitions and events over other sports or school dance troupes. This simply ensures the team is not impacted negatively by absences. In dance, unlike other sports, every dancer has their integral role to play and is not replaceable. An enormous amount of planning, time and energy goes into Troupes and therefore it is important all students honour this commitment. HUBPAC releases dates and times for competitions and events well in advance to allow ample planning for busy families.
Costs:
HUBTEAM Troupe performers incur additional costs to their Term fees. There is a yearly Performance Fee of $160 per dancer billed at the beginning of each comp season (Term 3). This fee covers group entries and administration to all competitions and events participated in by HUBTEAM Troupes. A costume deposit of $65 per costume is charged in Term 3, with the balance due prior to the end-of-year Showcase. The total cost of each costume will vary depending on level of detail and customizability, averaging between $80-$150. Costumes are yours to keep once paid.
Conduct:
Students and parents are to represent HUBPAC in a professional manner at all times at competitions and events. Poor sportsmanship and behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the team. HUBPAC reserves the right to remove a student from the team if they are not following behaviour rules and expectations.
